Dumpster Rental Tips for Temecula, CA
When determining the best dumpster size for your project, one of the most important things to consider is the amount of debris you will have.
It certainly can be a challenge to accurately estimate the yardage of debris before the work is done, but you can get a good idea by:
- Measuring the structure that is to be demolished (or room that is going to be cleaned out) and calculating the square footage
- Determining approximately how much of each type of debris there will be (for weight purposes)
- Calling a dumpster rental company with this information to get a dumpster size recommendation
A general rule of thumb is that 1 cubic yard is equal to the size of a standard kitchen stove. Doing a simple size comparison should do the trick. If it looks like you have less than 10 stoves’ worth of debris, then a 10 yard dumpster should be all you will need (if the weight of the debris stays within your dumpster’s weight limit).
