10 Yard Dumpster Tips for Penn Run, PA

How much does it cost to rent a 10 yard container?

Depending on where you live, it can run from as little as $250 for a 7-day rental, up to as much as $550 or more in some cases.

Sometimes the dumpster rental company will quote you an all-inclusive price, while other times there are possible additional fees involved. A few of these include:

  • Overage charges for going over the container’s weight limit (very common)
  • A per-day charge for extending the duration of the rental period (very common)
  • A surcharge for disposal of certain debris that costs more to dispose of (somewhat common)

The most accurate way to get pricing information for renting a 10 yard bin is to call any of the rental providers at the Hometown website and request a free quote.

What are the dimensions of a 10 yard dumpster?

Box container dimensions vary by company. A typical 10 yard roll-off measures approximately 12 ft L x 8 ft W x 4 ft H.

However, some rental companies offer “lowboys” that measure approximately 20 ft long and have much lower sides at 2 to 3 feet, making it ideal for side loading heavy debris (e.g. concrete).

Be sure to figure in the space needed to swing open the back door on the dumpster (if equipped) when clearing a spot on your property for the dumpster to be placed. These doors may need as much as 8 ft of clearance to open all the way – discuss these clearance issues with your dumpster rental provider.
